Child Advocacy Center Sensitizes Teachers at Diamond Special Needs School.

ChildLinK’s Child Advocacy Center’s staff in region 3, Ms. Nicole Whaul and Ms. Celeste Mullin did a sensitization session at the Diamond Special Needs School for the teachers employed there. The topics included definitions for sexual abuse and the signs and symptoms of sexual assault and also where they can go to report it and who they can talk to.

The 14 teachers expressed their gratitude for being exposed to the information for many of them it was new information and they expressly thanks the counselors for their time.

Sexual abuse is everybody’s business and with the growing number of children being assaulted and abused its commendable that the teachers of the Diamond Special needs School are seeking out this information.
